Want to learn how to identify and photograph butterflies? I will be conducting a 1-hour program on insect photography on March 31, 2012 as part of a Butterfly Identification Workshop sponsored by Toledo Metroparks, Ohio Lepidopterists, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, The Cleveland Museum of Natural History and the Ohio Biological Survey. The 1-day workshop will be held in the Manor House at Wildwood Preserve. My Insect Photography Program will cover selecting and using digital point-&-shoot cameras, SLR cameras and lenses, recommended camera settings, controlling exposure and depth-of-field, natural light vs. flash, and tips on composing insect photographs. A handout on insect photography will be available.
