The Holden Arboretum is sponsoring my one-day Falling Leaves & Falling Water Photo Tour on Saturday, October 22. We will meet at Holden Arboretum and car pool to Hach-Otis State Nature Preserve, which has great fall color and spectacular views of the Chagrin River from 200-foot shale cliffs. Then we’ll visit Indian Point, which has equally spectacular vistas of the Grand River. Nearby are Paine Falls and Chair Factory Falls, two of the area’s finest waterfalls, and more fine vistas at Hell Hollow Metropolitan Park. One-on-one coaching will be provided, as well as a handout with tips to improve your fall color and waterfall photography. We will meet again at Holden Arboretum at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, November 2 to share and critique participants’ photos taken on the photo tour. This photo tour is designed for experienced photographers: you should have a basic knowledge of digital photography and be familiar with the operation and controls of your digital camera (s).

There are still a few places available on the photo tour. For more information, or to register, visit Holden’s website at www.holdenarb.org or call Vonna Vecchio at (440)-602-3833.

16 Oct 2011Hi: Were you the Ian Adams who was a consultant with Ernst & Whinney back in the late 1970s? That person was very interested in photography and I wondered if his goals were realized. Sorry to bother you, but just interested.
