Lakewood Public Library – Print Exhibit

Male Cardinal in Buckeye Tree, Cuyahoga Valley National Park

The male Cardinal, shown above posing in a Buckeye tree in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, is one of six of my Ohio tree images currently on display at Lakewood Public Library in northeast Ohio. Each of the images was printed on a 24×36-inch Epson Ultrachrome Matte Canvas substrate and stretch-mounted on a wooden frame. The photo below shows the prints, which are on exhibit in the second floor gallery at Lakewood Public Library, 15425 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio 44107. (216) 226-8275

On an adjacent wall in the gallery are another eight Epson Ultrachrome Premium Luster framed prints, entitled “Bark, Rock, & Ice.”One of these images, shown below, was made 26 years ago with a Sinar F 4×5-inch view camera, using Fujichrome 50 film, in the winter of 1998, which evokes memories of the cold, icy, snowbound winters that used to occur regularly in northeast Ohio in the years before climate change.

Accompanying the exhibit is a Powerpoint program with some of my favorite poems and quotations matched with selected prints from the exhibit.

I would like to thank Lakewood Public Library’s Director, James Crawford, and Manager of Public Services, Suzanne Weber, for this opportunity to share a selection of my photography at their beautiful and historic library in Lakewood.
