Slide Program on Ohio Cemetery Book – Milan Public Library – July 11, 2024, 6:30 pm

Union Cemetery, Saint Clairsville, Belmont County, Ohio

For the past four years, I have been collaborating with fellow Ohio photographer Randall Lee Schieber and writer Robin Smith, both based in Columbus, to produce an exhibit-format book on Ohio’s most interesting, historic, and beautiful cemeteries. Throughout 2021 and 2022, Randy and I each traveled about 25,000 miles in search of photogenic cemeteries in all 88 counties of the Buckeye State. Ohio University Press will release the book, This Place of Silence: Ohio’s Cemeteries & Burial Grounds, in July, 2024.

On Thursday, July 11, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, I will be presenting a preview slide program on our new book, at Milan Public Library in Erie County. I have ordered 50 copies of This Place of Silence from the Chicago Distribution Center, where the book is warehoused, and I hope to receive the books in time to bring some to the program. Signed copies of the book will also be available for purchase later in July from my website. The book is priced at $29.95.
