Although most of Ohio’s landscape has been developed since pre-settlement times, an amazing variety of natural areas and preserves remain in the Buckeye State. These places include one million acres of forests, 75 state parks, 140 state nature preserves, 117 state wildlife areas, and dozens of city and county parks and privately owned natural areas. I have been privileged to visit and explore many of these places during the past three decades, and I will be at the Norton Library in Summit County on Monday, November 11, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, giving a photo tour of the best of Ohio’s natural areas and preserves and signing copies of my books, A Photographer’s Guide to Ohio, Volumes 1 and 2. I will also be sharing information on my latest book, This Place of Silence: Ohio’s Cemeteries & Burial Grounds, which will also be available.
