Slide Programs > The High Alleghenies

To the east and southeast of Ohio rise the western ramparts of the Appalachians, the High Alleghenies of western Pennsylvania, western Maryland, and West Virginia. These wild and scenic hills harbor black bears, dramatic waterfalls, deep gorges, wild rivers, and spectacular displays of pink rhododendron and flame azalea in spring and summer. In this slide program, Ian Adams takes you on a photo tour of Allegheny National Forest, Ohiopyle State Park, Swallow Falls, Blackwater Falls and Canaan Valley, Spruce Knob and the rugged Dolly Sods Wilderness.
